This is a perfect example of why conventional wisdom, the consensus of the general population and a large group of experts, isn't worth much. Be your own expert! Weigh the facts for yourself, and in doing so don't discount these lone nuts going against the grain. Just because everyone else laughs at them doesn't mean you have to.
Peter Schiff made an appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart yesterday. Very cool. I'm proud to see that at least Comedy Central's news and political commentary isn't colored by a horrendous bias toward the status quo, the military-industrial complex, the New World Order. Just check out Monday's Daily Show for a look at how bad the mainstream media has gotten! (That was my favorite episode to date, by the way. Totally hilarious.)
He says he's running for office; I hope he makes it. It would've been nice have had Ron Paul in the White House, but the financial collapse started a few months too late. C'est la vie.
